As you probably know, one of the most important aspects of micro niche marketing is a high ranking in the search engines for a specific long tail keyword. Why? Because that is by far the most effective way to get a healthy stream of consistent and targeted traffic. So then, what must you do to get these high rankings? Well first things first. You need to select a few highly targeted long tail keywords. It’s best to check out the blogs that have a page rank (PR) of 4 and beyond. But if you are starved for options, feel free to use the ones with a lower PR. Once you are at these blogs, take a good look at the posts. And then, leave comments on them.

Make sure that these comments actually add value to the blog post/article. That way, people will take you seriously. If you just write something like "great post", and then leave your link behind, you will be seen as a spammer. Whereas if you actually give feedback, or substantiate on the point raised the article and then leave your website link, you will get traffic directly from the blogs. But, your objective is not to get traffic from these blogs. That is simply a bonus.

What you need to do, when you leave your comments, is to hyperlink one of your selected keywords in your website URL. That way, search engines will view your website as highly relevant to the niche. And that will boost your rankings greatly. Simply do 10 a day, and you will have 3650 links at the end of the year. Pretty sweet eh?

So there you have it. It’s as simple as that. Simply follow this strategy and you will notice that you are getting much more out of your micro niche marketing efforts.

Well, guess what? there is a darn good chance that they actually weren’t looking for it if they didn’t buy it! You made a mistake with your keywords, and not a lot of people talk about this, because they can’t wrap their swollen minds around it. Listen up!

The reason for your massive keyword failure is that there are so many ways that your keyword that you thought was super targeted actually attracted the wrong person to your site. You need to think backwards and remember that you need to get inside your prospect’s mind: What word are they thinking when they went to google to search. Here is how it works. First, assuming that you were using a super targeted, sniper rifle approach, you are most likely indeed doing one or two of a few things very wrong.

Sometimes you’ll have a keyword like "affiliate marketing" and you have good results with it. You rinse & repeat, making a new ad campaign or article using something very similar to it. You do "marketing for affiliates" It does not work. This is why.

First off, you may have fallen deep into the "two meaning" trap, for example, where you used a word like "stories" and someone looking for the movie "18 stories tall" found your ad. Think to yourself, is there any other way in the english language that this word could be used? Is someone going to get this word confused with something else? If the answer is yes, do not use the word for your niche.

Second, some words will not work for you and they might as well just be used as negative words in your PPC campaign.

These are words like "free" or "downloads" when in fact the person is not going to be downloading anything. Or "used" when there is no used gear. This is a practical, reasonable philosophy but thousands of people still get this all wrong everyday. Do research on your product!

The third and most deadly word of all are gender explanations and plurals. Sometimes someone wants one of something and not "somethings" with an S. Sometimes someone wants to date a woman and not a man. Sometimes someone wants a package of items to sell wholesale and he clicked on your ad to a retail store. He will not buy your air jordans for $100, he was looking for a wholesale lot of 50 jordans to sell himself on Ebay and make money.
