Successful internet marketing starts with successful traffic building.
There are literally thousands of different ways to drive web traffic. Ironically, this is one of the very reasons why many new marketers fail in traffic building. What happens is they see different people having success with different traffic methods, so they start getting greedy and try to implement every single traffic tactics possible. It’s no surprise that they end up getting minimum results with maximum effort, instead of the other way around.
A wise person once advised: "Learn something about everything, and learn everything about something."
As human beings, we only have limited energy and time. When you divert your energy and efforts towards too many things at once, you inevitably compromise the effectiveness and efficiency of your actions. Unfortunately, many beginners get into this ’superhuman’ syndrome, and believe that ‘the more you do, the bigger results’, which isn’t always the case. Internet marketing is definitely not about working hard, it’s about working smart.
If you look at all the top marketers, like John Reese, Mike Filsaime, etc, none of them try to implement even more than 3 traffic strategies on a regular basis. On the contrary, when it comes to traffic generation, though they know the basics of almost every method, they ultimately specializes in just one or two particular methods, because it’s always better to be an absolute expert in one area, rather than being mediocre in many areas.
In terms of successful internet marketing, the key is to focus on one or two effective strategies that you ENJOY. Don’t make the mistake of going wide. Instead, go deep. You want to become a marketing sniper who fires laser-targeted shots every time, and achieve maximum results with minimum effort.
